Falgiano at (404)842-6786 The Centers for Disease Control contemplates awarding a contract to monitor the circulating strains of influenza viruses via a sentinel physician network in the United States, and monitor the occurrence and identify the etiological agents responsible for respiratory illnesses in nursing home and other CDC specified facilities. The successful contractor should be a be a laboratory capable of performing testing procedures and providing CDC with timely, confirmed viral diagnosis of patients that participate in this project. The period of performance shall be a basic contract period of 12 months, with four, 12 month options which may be exercised at the Government's discretion. The scheduled issue date is approximately April 3, 1995. No telephone requests will be accepted; only written requests for this solicitation will be honored.
