The FAA will open the doors of its Technical Center in Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey, on April 5, 1995 to give the nation's companies an insider's view of FAA state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technological developments and activities. FAA Industry Day is an opportunity for industry and academia to see what FAA Technology Transfer is all about. During the day-long open house, there will be tours of FAA facilities, demonstrations of innovative technologies, and presentations describing some of the FAA's advances R&D programs. In addition, numerous exhibits showcasing the extensive technological accomplishments of FAA and industry partners will be featured. Attendees of FAA Industry Day will learn about the tremendous opportunities to capitalize on technological innovations by entering into cooperative research and development agreements, network with other companies, and hear success stories about companies who have reaped the benefits of working with the FAA. Through FAA Industry Day, the agency will reaffirm its commitment to bring research and technology to the private sector in the form of knowledge, facilities, expertise, products, and product applications. It is expected that this year's FAA Industry Day will match the success of the first one held in 1991. Comments indicated that the event was ``very informative'' and ``extremely valuable'' in terms of the programs and technologies showcased and the opportunities created for productive partnerships in technology transfer. The guests who will attend Industry Day 1995 will be impressed with a number of activities including briefings by Technical Center Scientists, technology demonstrations, and tours of research and test facilities such as the Aviation Security Laboratory, Human Factors Laboratory, Full-Scale Fire Test Facility, Air Traffic Control Laboratory, and the Simulation Laboratory.
