The major items of work include but are not limited to the following issues. tHe solicitation calls for the replacement of the General Officer's Quarters and the Senior Officers' Quarters. These are residential-type housing units with associated infrastructure work. Six housing units currently in place will have to be demolished and seven new units will be built in their place. One of the units is approximately 2,300 square feet and six of the units are approximately 1,700 square feet. the projects include relatd site work, utility work and landscaping. The performance period is approximately 180 days and working hours are between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The work is not located in a controlled area and government furnished materials are not included. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1521. The estimated value of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about 3 April 1995. Currently, the solicitation is being considered for 100% Small Disadvantaged Business Set-Aside. A final decision on SDB status will be made on 30 March 1995. All interested parties should contact the Fairchild AFB Contracting Office as soon as possible, but no later than 27 March 1995. Interested parties must include a positive statement of eligibility as a Small Disadvantaged Business Concern, evidence of capacity to obtain the appropriate bonding, information that demonstrates the management capability to handle a project of this magnitude, intent to bid on this project as a prime contractor and a listing of their qualifications and experience including the following: (1) A list of all private housing projects and related developments, showing location, date of contract, and number of units. Include name, phone number and address of point of contact for each project. (2) A list of all Government housing projects, identifying program (HUD, FHA and/or DOD), showing location, date of contract and number of units. Include contract numbers and name, phone number and address of point of contact for each project. (3) Information relative to experience in the type of housing proposed and in the construction of projects of a scale comparable to that of the proposed project. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
