Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 This replaces the CBD announcement which appeared on February 2, 1995, for the same items advertised as a sole source to Diano Corporation. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the following brand-name or equal items: #A4977A, Diano Model 2060 X-ray generator with manual contrnnols mounted in a 19'' rack cabinet, including water to water heat exchanger; #C1648BH, Federal to spring high voltage cable; CA-8 CU L, Copper target x-ray tube and; cooling kit for CA-8 tube. The generator and it's associated parts are replacements for NIST's existing G.E. XRD-5 X-ray Generator which is a part of the Diano x-ray diffraction instrument. The new generator shall be physically, electronically, and mechanically compatible with NIST's existing equipment. The x-ray tube shall be a copper target diffraction tube of the CA-8 L type with water cooling and shall fit existing NIST G.E. (Diano) tube holders; both vertical and horizontal.--Delivery shall be within 60 days, FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland--It is anticipated that the award will be a firm fixed price contract, 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
