TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK PROGRAM SOL

New York City Transit Authority is seeking to retain a multidiscipline
Professional Architectural/Engineering Consultant to provide services
for the underground storage tank program on a task order basis. The
tanks contain petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, fuel oil,
waste oil, etc. The services will include tightness testing of
underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated piping, remedial design
and technical inspection, remedial investigations of soil/water
contamination and recommendations, tank closing, field data collection
activities, reports and other environmental support services.
Personnel performing tank tightness tests must be licensed by the New
York City Fire Department for such testing, and also be certified by
the test manufacturer. The Consultant shall upon receipt of duly
executed task orders perform all work for the project(s) described in
such task orders. Estimated amount: $3.4 million. Expertise required in
the following areas of engineering: Civil, Mechanical, Hydrogology,
Geology, technical expertise in Tank Tightness Testing, Technical
Inspection during construction, preparation of Environmental
Assessments and Impact statements, and familiarity with all applicable
codes and regulations. The consultant must have the ability and
capability to perform field surveys, testing, monitoring and analysis
of data collected, and prepare reports. MBE/WBE requirements for this
contract are: MBE 15%; and WBE 5%. Consultants desiring to be
considered to receive a Request for Proposal for this project must
respond by submitting a letter of interest and one copy of completed
SF254/255 forms, referencing File Number CM-1003. The submission must
be received by the Authority no later than 12:00 Noon, April 3, 1995.
Please Note: In evaluating a Consultant's response to this
advertisement, the Authority considers only the information which is
supplied in the SF254/255 forms and information contained in Transit
Authority Consultant Evaluation Reports on file, for work performed on
prior Authority Projects. The Authority, therefore, requires all
Consultants to refrain from submitting any material other than what has
