The Strike Aircraft Test Squadron, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), has a requirement for engineering, maintenance support and limited manufacturing support for flight test programs conducted at NAWCAD. The support shall be for any NAWCAD PAX assigned F/A-18 aircraft, including pre-production uniquely configured aircraft. The support shall include engineering support for various flight test programs, supply maintenance, repair, and support for F/A-18 aircraft for flight testing, and pilot support. The period of performance shall be for a base period plus four one-year option periods of performance with an estimated start date of 1 February 1996. The total estimated manhours for this effort is 390,000 hours for the five year period of performance. Negotiations shall be conducted solely with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace (MDA) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source.
