Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028. The Defense Nuclear Agency
(DNA) has a requirement to undertake the completion of elimination of
all ICBM silos in Kazakstan. This effort will include the completion of
dismantlement of SS-18 ICBM silos, training silos, and test silos from
which the missiles and sensitive material will already have been
removed and the headworks explosively destroyed by Russia. Services
required include: 1) planning, purchasing, and international transport
of construction equipment and supplies; 2) facility and infrastructure
demolition; 3) removal and transport of all salvageable materials; 4)
site restoration; and 5) environmental services, as necessary. This
effort will require consulting and coordinating with the Government of
Kazakstan as necessary. Kazakstani subcontractors shall be used to the
maximum extent practical. This effort includes dismantlement of at
least 104 missile silos, 16 launch control silos, 2 training silos, and
26 test silos and associated facilities, which are spread over four
locations in Kazakstan. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
which shall be considered by the agency. All requests for the RFP must
be in writing. Faxed requests are acceptable and shall be faxed to the
attention of Sandy Bednoski at (703) 325-9291. If the request is faxed,
