the supply and installation of a radar and beacon data extractor. The
data extractor converts the radar, beacon and weather returns provided
by the exisiting radar facility into digital messages that are
transmitted via Codex odems to a Federal Aviation Administration Air
Route Control Center located at the MARQUETTE SECTOR FIELD OFFICE,
NEGAUNEE, MI. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 1) Dual channel system with
automatic failure sensing and channel switchover with automatic
reconfiguration after a channel failure. 2) Extract, process and
transmit search, beacon and weather data from a GPN-12/ASR-7 search
radar and a ATCBI-5 beacon system. 3) System output includes radar and
beacon target reports plus weather and status reports in a FAA NAS
compatible digitized format and transmit data on an every other scan.
4) Provide extended range beacon processing beyond the 60 nautical mile
search radar limit. 5) Process ATCBI modes 3A/C/2 interlaced. 6)
Generate both search and beacon Real Time Quality Control targets. 7)
Transmit weather data in two levels (expandable to three) and present
that data in adaptable time intervals. 8) Provide throughput of less
than 600 milliseconds from target boresight to target complete in
extractor buffer output. 9) The system shall be compatible with the FAA
remote maintenance monitoring system (RMMS) including remote monitoring
capablity providing monitoring of the operational status and key
performance parameters. 10) Incorporate an adaptive constant false
alarm rate (CFAR) function with separate functions for the normal and
