59 -- UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS) SYSTEM Sol. 19987-243-E2-R. Due 051995. Contact, Robert E. Barulich, 415/768-2024, Procurement Representative. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System: Bechtel National, Inc., acting as agewnt for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program (CSDP), intends to competitively solict two UPS modules to be configured into a parallel redundant system, to be delivered to Anniston Army Depot, Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama by January 2, 1996. As an option, twelve (12) additional UPS modules may be procured for the other six remaining facilities located within the United States, to be delivered at later dates through the year 2001. Each UPS module shall be sized as 225 KVA and shall consist of rectifier/battery charger, inverter, batteries, and all necessary protective devices, instruments and local controls. The input voltage to the UPS shall be 480 VAC, and the output voltage shall be 208Y/120 VAC. The UPS system shall be complete with one system static bypass switch in a parallel redundant UPS system will be utilized for 100 percent nonlinear continuous computer and instrumentation loads. This procurement is unrestricted with regard to business size. Evidence of shop capacity and capability to perform projects of this size, type, and complexity, on schedule, will be required. This solicitation will be a negotiated procurement. Request for Proposasl (RFP) shall be pursuant to Contracting by Negotiation as described in FAR Part 15. This solicitation will be issued approx. 12 April 1995 and RFP closing will be approx. 30 days thereafter. A copy of this solicitation will be forwarded to all responsible sources upon receipt of a written request. Request must be received by 10 April 1995.
