303/969-6514. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Interagency
Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement for two types of radio batteries.
One is for 7,000 alkaline batteries for use in powering the Motorola
MX and MX-S series portable radio, and the second is for 10,000 primary
alkaline batteries for use in powering the King portable, hand held
radio, LPH, LQH, and MPH series. Alkaline batteries are generally
considered the most viable for the Motorola and King radios, but other
battery technologies will be considered. Delivery is F.O.B.
Destination NIFC Fire Warehouse, Boise, Idaho. Delivery for the
batteries is early and mid-July 1995. This requirement is 100%
set-aside for small business. Written requests only. See Note 1.
