SOL N00140-95-R-1705 SYN 255 POC Contact Point, Phil Evans, (215)897-5426, Contracting Officer, Paul Russial, (215)897-5426 The Fleet Inudustrial Supply Center intends to acquire Services from Harris Corporation for Repairing and Refurbishing when needed and to Incorporate SINCGARS capability into 24 each, SINGARS P/N: AN/PRC-117(B)(C) and then Upgrading to New Radio Sets P/N: AN/PRC-117(C)(C) under Contract N00140-90-D-3462. The projected start date of performance is June 1, 1995. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Harris Corporation under authority of FAR 6.302-1. This firm is considered to be the only manufacturer that can service the above items because the SINGARS were devoloped and manufactured by Harris Corporation under contract N00140-90-D-3462. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposal. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSAL. However, all proposals received within 45 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government WILL NOT PAY for information received. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Number is 7699.
