The study will examine the activities of blue and fin whales off the coast of southern California as effected by prey distribution and abundance, primary productivity, and oceanographic factors. The contractor will tag at least two blue and two fin whales, and follow horizontal and vertical movements of the whales. A fixed price contract is anticipated. The period of performance will be approximately thirty days in duration from 3 August to 1 September 1995. All responsible sources may submit proposals which will be considered by the agency. (0073)
