D - The Department of Education has requirement to acquire a Financial Management Systems Software (FMSS) package and contractor services to adapt/modify and implement the FMSS. The contractor shall perform all tasks and activities necessary for a full implementation, except the actual converison software to initialize the FMSS database. This application shall be based on off-the-self software that meets, a a minimum, the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program's (JFMIP's) Core Financial System Requirement date April 1994. Its functions shall include general ledger; funds management which includes budget formulation, budget execution, funds control and all the related internal and external reports, including the financial statements as set forth by the Chief Financial Officer's Act of 1990, amended in 1994. Contract duration is from date of award through September 30, 1996, with four option periods of 12 months each. The procurement is open to all responsible business concerns. RFP-95-015 will be issued on or about March 31, 1995. Is anticipated that the closing date for receipt of proposals will be on or about May 1, 1995.
