The Ochoco National Forest is contemplating the procurement of a Digital Microwave System. The system could possibly consist of up to 18 RF terminals with 8 terminals located on 3 solar powered sites (two sites with 3 terminals each; one site with 2 terminals). The system shall be able to operate in the 1710 to 1850 MHz. The RF terminals shall have the capability to provide as few as 4 DS lines to as many as 12 DS1 lines depending on the link. The system shall have the ability to provide order wire over the entire system and remote alarm reporting to a single site. Evaluation of the proposed equipment will be based on power consumption, potential size and type of dishes, and the engineering capabilities of the firm and their availability to assist in the engineering of the system. Less power consumption and dishes requiring small supporting towers are desirable. Assistance in engineering a system will be incidental to the purchase of the equipment and no separate payment for engineering services is contemplated. Interested parties shall identify their products which would be offered and supply sufficient technical information so that it can be determined the product meets the above requirements.
