analyses, designs, specifications, drawing preparation, and cost
estimates to alter, modify and repair Coast Guard cutters and boats.
These units range from 25' surf rescue boats to 400' Polar Icebreakers,
and are located along the West Coast of the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii and
Guam. Engineering tasks in naval architecture, marine and mechanical
engineering, include producing or reviewing feasibility studies,
conceptual system designs and/or detail designs. Tasks may include but
are not limited to: stability analyses including inclining
experiments, configuration and arrangement changes; structural analyses
for new and altered structures, including finite element analysis;
drawing updating using manual and/or CAD methods; and auxilary system
design and modification. Minimum award of delivery orders per year:
$25,000. Estimated quantity of hours ordered per year: 2600. Period of
performance is scheduled to commence 1 October 1995, for one basic
year plus two option years. Solicitation will be issued on or about 01
April 95. All responsible sources may submit proposals which will be
