The United States Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command is contemplating Contracting for the remanufacturing of 5 ton trucks under a joint Army and Marine Corps program. The program would involve the remanufacturing of existing Government assets with a significant amount of technology insertion. The USMC, under its medium tactical vehicle remanufacture (mtvr) program has produced several technology demonstrators in support of the concept exploration/demonstration phase of this program. The PEO for Tactical Wheeled Vehicles in conjunction with the USMC will be hosting an ``Industry Day'' at the Nevada Automotive Test Center in Silver Springs, Nevada to provide industry with the opportunity to view these vehicles and observe their performance. This event is currently scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 1995.
