Construction of a new Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) and Administrative Base Building (SIC 1542) includes but is not limited to: 1) Site work including civil, grading and landscaping, construction of a concrete pad, parking area and access drive; 2) Construction of a 64'x78'one story administrative base building complete with link; 3) Construction of a 78' ATCT with a 350 sq.ft. cab; 4) Installation of all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems and 5) Miscellaneous work described in the contract documents. Estimated bidding range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid documents are anticipated to be available on or about April 27, 1995. Bid opening is anticipated for June 26, 1995. A non-refundable fee of $200 in the form of a 1) Certifed check, 2) Cashier's check, or 3) Money order is payable to the FAA in advance for each set of plans and specifications requested. The FAA reserves the right to reserve quantities as appropriate. Submittal and approval of a small and minority business subcontracting plan prior to award (large business only). For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital & bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
