Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT(S) FOR ASBESTOS-ABATEMENT IN NEW YORK CITY & SURROUNDING COUNTIES AND NORTHERN & CENTRAL NEW JERSEY Sol RFP 415046-95-A-0230. Due 041495. The contract(s) resulting from this solicitation will provide for asbestos removal, repair and/or encapsulation at various owned or leased Postal facilities located in New York City and surrounding Counties (Boroughs of Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess & Putnam); and Northern & Central New Jersey Counties of Sussex, Passaic, Warren, Morris, Essex, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Mercer, and Monmouth. Contractors must have a minimum of three years experience in asbestos removal work; must possess the capabilities of working at least three to four jobs at the same time; and must possess all proper certifications as required by federal, state and local laws. Specific workorders will be issued by the contracting officer in accordance with the Technical Specs/Unit Price Schedule. One or more workorders will be issued totalling not less than $10,000.00 nor more than $500,000.00 during the two-year period of the contract. The initial limit of $500,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the contractor and the contracting officer up to the maximum of $1,500,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of workorders nor a specific amount other than the total of $10,000.00 set out above. The contractor will not be required to perform work under any workorder where the value of work in any one building is less than $500.00. Offerors will be required to submit one (1) ``multiplier'' to be applied to the various unit prices established in the Unit Price Schedule. The multiplier must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The Postal Service reserves the right to award multiple awards. Plans & specifications will be available on or about March 13, 1995 at a cost of $30.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE).
