project involves the construction and installation of revisions and
modifications to the existing HVAC systems in the 100F Building,
Administration/Classroom Building, and the Single Parent Dormitory
Building at the Flint Hills Job Corp Center, located in Manhattan,
Kansas. The project will include modifications to the existing hot and
chilled water piping systems in three mechanical rooms, the provision
of necessary ancilliary hydronic pumps, valves and acessories,
sequences of operation, and the subsequent tests and balancing as
related to the HVAC modifications in all three buildigs. The work also
includes the provision of mechanical ventilation in the boilers and
chiller room of the Single Parent Dormitory, the provision of access
doors with intregal grills for a number of concealed fan coil units in
the 100F building, and the provision of drain pans with extensions for
a number of concealed fan coil units in the Administration/Classroom
building. The estimated cost range of construction is between $50,000
to $100,000. Construction time is scheduled for 90 days to substantial
completion, and 120 days to project closeout, from the notice to
proceed. Plans and Specifications will be available on March 30, 1995,
from the office of the Architect/Engineer, Flynt & Kallenberger,

project. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that
requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm
listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. All requests must
be in writing. Requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve
basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply
is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of
a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual
cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A pre-bid
walk-thru is scheduled for April 20, 1995, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Bid-opening date is May 4, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. local time. This is a
100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification
