DUE 050195 POC Kimberly Wright, Contract Specialist (301) 443-1555,
Susan Gane, Contracting Officer (301) 443-4420. The Food and Drug
Administration, Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH)
requires X-ray monitors Model 1015 BH with Ionization chambers 10X5-6
and 10X5-180. The monitors must be able to measure exposure, exposure
rate, exposure integrated over a single pulse of radiation of 1 ms or
greater, and the duration of the pulse. The monitors shall be equipped
with one ionization chamber which shall be compatible with the CDRH
test stand and shall have an active volume not greater than 8 cc. This
chamber shall have a measurement range if 1 mR/min to 650 mR/min and
energy dependence less than 7% from M30 (HVL= .36 mm AL HC=14) to the
H150 (HVL -17.0 HC = 100). A second chamber shall have a cross
sectional area of 100 cm2 and a range of 1 mR/hr to 650 mR/hr. this
chamber shall have less than 10% energy dependence from M50 (HVL=1.02
mm ALHC=66) to the H150. The calibration accuracy for both chambers
shall be +5% or better. The calibration accuracy for both chambers
shall be +5% or better. The monitors and chambers shall be contained
within a case no larger than 8 by l0 by 12 and not to exceed 15 pounds.
The monitors shall have a digital display and shall be powered by
