D -- FYI UPGRADE ASSURANCE AND UNLIMITED SERVICE AND CONSULTATION SOL 9BI236509P POC FRAN MAHAN, Tel:713-483-2338 Contracting Officer:RON JOHNSON, Tel:713-483-4164 NASA/Johnson Space Center (JSC) intends to award a contract for the purchase of a one-year FYI Upgrade Assurance and Unlimited Consultation/ Service contract to Jefferson Associates, the local vendor for Identitech Inc. This contract is in support of an existing Management Information System purchased from Identitech, Inc. FYI software, at the time it was purchased in 1991, was the only software that uses customizable hierarchical filing methodology that allowed for user friendly horizonal and vertical search capability and/or SQL Database that can be integrated and fully compatible with related applications. Jefferson Associates is the only known local vendor that can provide to JSC the licensing and unlimited, on-site consultation and service for Identitech, Inc. No other vendor can provide the needed software and service support for this combined system. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. All proposals submitted with 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract will be awarded on the basis of the responses received from this notice, since this notice cannot be considered a formal solicitation document. A written response must be submitted to this agency within 15 days of this notice. This procurement will be awarded under the Mid-Range procedures. (0074)
