COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 17,1995 PSA#1305CH2M Hill, 1111 Broadway, 12th Fl., Oakland, CA 94607 F -- COLLECTING, TRANSPORTING, AND DISPOSING PURGED WELL WATER CH2M
Hill, under its ARCSWEST Contract No. 68-WP-0031 with the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) in Region IX, is requesting Bids for
collecting, transporting, and disposing purged well water and
decontaminate rinsate from quarterly sampling of 53 monitoring wells
and annual sampling of 66 monitoring wells, and a one time sampling of
87 monitoring wells. The work is located in the San Fernando Valley
Groundwater Basin, an uncontrolled hazardous waste site within the
cities of Los Angeles, Burbank, and Glendale, California. The work
contemplated consists of collecting and transporting purged well water
and decontamination rinsate using a 5,000 gallon vacuum truck, and
hauling the water to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power,
Crystal Springs Yard, where the water will be stored in 21,000 gallon
steel tanks. The monitoring wells are located in city streets, parks
and associated rights-or-way within an 8-mile radius of each other.

RFP No. 179. To perform this Work, the successful Bidder shall hold or
obtain such licenses as required by State and local statues. Before a
Notice to Proceed will be issued, the subcontractor will be required
to have implemented a health and safety program meeting OSHA and other
requirements as described elsewhere in the Subcontract Documents.
Before a subcontract will be awarded for the Work contemplated herein,
CH2M HILL, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, will conduct
such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record
and ability of each Bidder to perform the size and type of Work
specified under the Subcontract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit
information as deemed necessary by the Contractor to evaluate the
Bidders qualification. For information concerning the proposed work,

reserves the right to (1) reject all Bids or any Bid not conforming, in
the sole opinion of the Contractor, to the intent and purpose of the
Subcontract Documents; (2) postpone the award of the Subcontract for a
period of time not to extend beyond 120 days from the bid opening
