The purpose of the CIP is to reduce the expense of operating J57/TF33 engines by improving reliability and maintainability, eliminating safety related failures, developing repairs, and qualifying alternate vendors. Services to be provided will include studies of service revealed deficiencies, development of repair procedures and instructions, testing of engines and components, and development of engineering change proposals.
