Pacific Contracting Center, at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, has a requirement for (1) Full-Time Chemotherapy Nurse to provide clinical immunochemotherapy nursing services for the Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Dept of Medicine, TAMC. The Chemotherapy Nurse shall perform professional nursing duties in the care of patients whose conditions warrant comprehensive care and provide care for patients with hematology and oncology disorders, to include oncology patients with vascular access devices. The contract nurse shall have knowledge of pathophysiology specific to hematologic and oncologic diseases and allied disorders; of chemotherapeutic drugs and other pharmaceuticals and their desired effects, side effects, and complications of use; and of abnormal laboratory values. The nurse shall possess skill and alertness in providing care to react promptly in emergency situations using standard medical procedures. The nurse shall have at least 2 yrs experience as a clinical nurse including a minimum of 6 months of experience administering chemotherapy. A 2 year option period is anticipated to extend the term of the contract. RFP DADA16-95-R-0020 shall be issued O/A 28 Mar 95 and close O/A 28 Apr 95.
