The VA Medical Center/Outpatient Clinics, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 requires the services of a contractor to provide purchase, storage, pick-up, cleaning, refurbishing, repair, scheduled preventative maintenance and delivery of mechanical beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, patient lifts and other VA provided equipment. Service will also include delivery lot of equipment to veteran beneficiaries in eastern Massachusetts. The equipment shall be steamed, cleaned and sanitized in accordance with JCAHO standards. The contractor is required to be JCAHO accredited during the term of the contract which will be from June 1, 1995 to September 30, 1995 with an option to extend services up to an additional twenty-four months. Requests for the solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer (90C) and no telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. SIC 8099 applies and all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
