The work consists of but not limited to removal and replacement of eight (8) gate valves and the addition of two (2) new 16'' valves to the water transmission line that feeds Ellsworth AFB and replacement of all 8'' and 4'' drain valves, and combination air/vacuum release valves with accompanying 2'' gate valves and saddles. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1623. A tentative issue date of 31 March 95 is established to make documents available. All requests shall indicate business status as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, Women Owned etc. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 23 March 95. This notification SHALL include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
