66 -- METEOROLOGICAL MEASURING SET (MMS) POC Mr. Bill Porter, MMS Project Officer, (908)544-5882. The US Army CECOM Systems Management Directorate is issuing this market survey to determine potential sources for the production of the Meteorological Measuring Set (MMS). The MMS consists of a meteorological processor, signal data converter (for multi-sonde capability), lightweight computer unit, printer, and radiotheodolite integrated into a lightweight multipurpose shelter. The initial systems were developed by Environmental Technologies Group, Inc., Baltimore, MD, under Contract Number DAAB07-93-C-0001. There are no Level III drawings available for this system. The production units must be compatible with the AN/TMQ-31 Meteorological Data System, and must have successfully completed Government First Article, and reliability testing. The Government cannot incur further testing costs due to funding and time constraints. The production quantities expected to be procured and delivered under this effort total twenty-three (23) systems. The required delivery schedule for the production systems is four (4) MMS units a month beginning November 1995. All responses must also address schedule, ability to deliver the above items on time, past experiences with similar systems production (identify contract number and performance status), successful first article and reliability testing documentation, and present production capabilities/facilities.
