The National Institutes of Health plans to procure on a Sole Source Basis, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), 600 grams of formulated ISIS 5320 (cGMP Grade) from ISIS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 2292 Faraday Avenue, Carlesbad, CA 92008. ISIS 5320 is a phosphorothioate oligonucleotide developed (patent pending) by the company and synthesized by proprietary chemical methods. ISIS 5320 has been included in preclinical pharmacology, toxicology and efficacy studies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
