The Laboratory of Infectious Diseases, Division of Intramural, National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is seeking an organization having the capabilities to provide volunteers and a facility in which to study the biology of medically important viruses in humans, to examine the host's immune response to these viruses, and to test and evaluate new candidate live virus vaccines for safety, genetic stability, immunogenicity, transmissibility and protective efficacy. Studies will include administration of wild type virus to volunteers in order to assess virilence. Studies will include both adult and pediatric subjects since the viruses studied cause severe respiratory disease in people of all ages. RFP issuance o/a March 29,1995.
