The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) plans to award a
firm-fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-94-G-0048
for the resubstantiation of AH-1W helicopter dynamic component fatigue
lives in order to provide expanded life limits and/or extensions for
the pylons, the lift beam, and dynamic rotor components. NAVAIRSYSCOM
plans to award the order to Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc.,(BHTI), P.O.
Box 482, Fort Worth, TX 76101, the prime developer and manufacturer of
the AH-1W helicopter. This effort shall be completed not later than 6
months after execution of the order. Interests in subcontracting
opportunities should be directed to BHTI at the address above. This
procurement is being contracted on a basis of ''other than full and
open competition'', and this synopsis is for informational purposes
