The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price Job Order under a Master Ship Agreement for the drydock repairs of the Surveyboat SHUMAN. Prospective contractors must have or be capable of entering into a Master Ship Agreement and have dry-docking capabilities. The Surveyboat SHUMAN is 64 feet and 11 inches in length with a beam of 26 feet; depth is 8 feet 5 inches; draft is 4 feet 11 inches; and displacement is 60 tons. The work to be performed may consist of, but not be limited to, painting, underwater repair work, miscellaneous mechanical, electrical, structural repair and drydocking. The work is scheduled to commence on or about 19 June 95 and be completed thirty (30) calendar days from the date the Job Order is awarded. The vessel is scheduled to work in the Delaware River along the East Coast of the United States. The area of consideration includes facilities in and between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to, and including, Baltimore, Maryland (this includes the southern New Jersey area). Solicitation No. DACW61-95-B-0042 will be issued on or about April 27, 1995 with a closing date of May 30, 1995 at 1000 hours at the local place of bid opening. The performance period is to commence on or about June 19, 1995 for a period of Thirty (30) calendar days from the date a Job order is awarded.
