Miles, (202)782-1121 Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to contract on a sole source basis for maintenance, training and service for General Electric Medical Systems for the North Atlantic Health Service Support Area. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing glassware, complete system software, firmware and hardware preventive maintenance and emergency service. The contractor shall also be responsible for providing certified manufacturer trained instructors to conduct on-site training on proprietary software and hardware to a level which shall result in certification of government personal as First Call Factory Trained Bio Medical Equipment Engineer. This contract shall include a base year and four option years. If technical requirements can be met, a copy of the solicitation may be requested from the address above. Interested parties must submit evidence of ability to meet all above stated requirements and maintain state of the art GE software and hardware systems with their request. If no affirmative responses are received within fifteen (15) days after publication of this notice to the effect that other sources can meet these specifications, a contract will be negotiated on a sole source basis with General Electric.
