S -- FENCE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SOL 1425-5-SI-10-13790 DUE 050895 POC Contact Becky Young, 208-378-5103/Contracting Officer, Dale Gaston, 208-378-5106 The Snake River Area Office-West, Boise Idaho, has a requirement for fence repair and maintenance services on Bureau administered public lands adjacent to Cascade Reservoir near Cascade (Valley) Idaho. There are three fence types: barbed wire, approximately 4.5 miles; electric fence, approximately 16 miles; and wood and post rail fences, approximately .5 miles. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, and permits to repair and maintain these fences. Work includes daily inspections of all fences, repair or replace breaks, replace faulty equipment, and cut and remove all downed trees that have fallen on a fence and repair the fence. The work also includes spraying of herbicides under electric fences to decrease risk of shorting fences out. This will require an Idaho herbicide applicators license.
