Potential sources sought. The Coast Guard has a requirement to purchase
Jacket Water Heater Exchanger from Kam Thermal Equipment Ltd. part no.
C4278-ST-6, Model 10-114-1FH for the uaw on the 270 Class Cutter Main
Engine Cooling System. It is the Government's belief that only Kam
Thermal Equipment, Ltd., the Original Equipment Manufacturer and/or
their authorized distributors can furnish the required parts and ensure
proper fit, form and function of all its components. Anyone having the
expertise and capabilities to provide Jacket Water Heat Exchanger in
accordance with Kam Thermal Equipment, Ltd. shall submit information
discussing such capabilities within 15 days of this announcement, to
the procurement office listed in this announcement. The following
information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the
offered heat exchanger; 1) complete and current engineering data to
demonstrate the acceptability of the offered pumps (i.e., salient
physical, functional and serviceability characteristics), or 2) data
that the offered staging components have been satisfactorily
manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer.
No cost or pricing data is required. This is a sources sought
announcement and not a RFP. The Government does not intend to pay for
any information solicited. -- Responses must be concise and
specifically directed to the requirement mentioned above. Concerns that
respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to
accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in
sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the
requirements. Adequate detailed data by which to evaluate capability
should be sent to the attention of Pat Dobbins at the address indicated

Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and

capital assistance for transportation-related contract. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
