((301) -619-7437 The U.S. Army Medical Research Materiel Command
(USAMRMC) is seeking organizations to perform the necessary research to
develop a predictive mixed toxic gas injury model to include gases of
military relevance; and combine the predictive mixed toxic gas model
with the already developed predictive blast overpressure injury model.
The selected contractor shall: identify critical biological processes
which define sublethal injury and incapacitation for mixed gas injury;
identify critical variables which affect the aforementioned biological
processes; identify critical gases contributing significantly to
injury; incorporate this information in a preliminary, predictive
combined toxic gas injury model; combine a validated predictive mixed
toxic gas injury model with an existing blast overpressure injury
model. The Army expects to award a four-year contract. RFP
DAMD17-95-R-5026 to be issued on or about 17 Apr 1995. Proposals due 45
