Environmental engineering capability and experience is also desirable. The services required will include preparing feasibility studies, conceptual designs, preliminary engineering reports, budget estimates and designs of alterations, mionor new construction, and repair projects. The projects are anticipated to be located within the confines of the Johnson Space Center main site and Ellington Field locations, Houston, Texas. Some tasks will require investigation and engineering related to areas containing asbestos or other hazardous materials. The duration of the contract will be for one year with the option of one additional year. The contract will stipulate that any one task order shall not exceed $150,000 and that the cumulative amount of all task orders for the contract period shall not exceed $500,000. Each selected engineering firm is guaranteed a minimum fee of $7,500. Standard Form 254 and 255 are due 30 days after publication of this announcement in the CBD. See Notes 1 and 24.
