The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide day-to-day public affairs and media relations support to the dissemination efforts of AHCPR's Center for Research Dissemination and Liaison, Division of Communications. These efforts are targeted at policy makers, the business community, healthcare professionals and consumers. Support includes dissemination of AHCPR clinical practice guidelines and information on all other AHCPR programs and policies including Medical Treatment Effectiveness Program (MEDTEP), Technology Assessment and general health services research.
