The work includes airfield concrete foundations; jet engine power check pads and test pads; fuel containment area; electrical, water and sewer lines, and associated site work. Contractor will be required to provide a full-time quality control manager with 5 years experience of similar construction. Special construction includes the installation of embedded aircraft restraint fittings by experienced mechanics skilled in this type of work and proof-loading such fittings for up to 90,000 pounds tension. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% Set-Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should notify this office in writing, Attn: Code 0212LF of their intention to bid the project as Prime Contractor as early as possible but no later than 03 APR 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. In either event, an amended synopsis will be issued in early April 95 time frame indicating set-aside decision and Bid Opening Date. Estimated cost is $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
