Construction - To replace O'Hare 4R MALSR Aluminum VEGA Towers with new fiberglass towers (7) towers will be replaced. Work consists of but is not limited to the following: Furnish all necessary materials, labor, equipment, tools, and supervision to replace sever (7) existing VEGA light towers with new low-impact resistant (LIR) light towers (furnished by the Government) for runway 4R medium intensity approach lighting system with runway alignment indicator lights (MALSR) at O'Hare field. Estimated dollar range of this project is between $25,000 and $75,000. The estimated Issue date is April 12, 1995, with a Bid Opening date on or about May 15, 1995. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1741 (heavy construction). Contract duration is 20 days. The procuremend is open to all business concerns. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
