The USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division, intends to negotiate with Fairbanks Morse Engine Div, Coltec Industries Inc., 701 Lawton, Beloit, WI 53511 to purchase two (2) new current production 12 cylinder Alco 251F Marine Diesel Engines to operate the prime power onboard POLAR CLASS ICEBREAKERS. This procurement is in support of the approved U.S. Coast Guard Class Determination and Findings Standardization Program (RIP). The equipment must be manufactured to ISO 9001. The 12 cylinder Alco 251F Marine Diesel Engines will be matched to the Westinghouse 1500 KW generators. The delivery schedule is 270 days after receipt of order. (0079)
