The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is interested in obtaining information from small businesses who can provide software licenses, software upgrades, hardware maintenance, and hardware upgrades for 21 Tandem CLX series minicomputers and related peripheral equipment owned by the Government. Only small business meeting the small business size standard for SIC 7378, $12.5 M per year; and/or SIC 7379 $12.5M per year should respond to this request. Equipment is located at 14 sites in the cotton-producing states of South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas, Arizona and California. This is not a request for proposals. This announcement may or may not result in a formal solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this sources sought notice, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. Information provided in response to the request will not be returned. Interested small business vendors who may be capable of meeting the above requirements are requested to submit their corporate capabilities, related experience, and references by April 3, 1995. All responses to this announcement should include a original and two copies.
