This is a notice of intent to negotiate with CTA, Incorporated of Englewood, Colorado on an other than full and open competitive basis for the research and development procurement of a high-fidelity, fixed-base, flight simulator to be integrated with and/or compatible with existing Navy facilities. The system being procured shall support verification and validation of technology under development in on-going Navy research and development programs. The system shall be totally compatible with the existing operating and instrumentation hardware and software in the NAWC-AD-WAR Dynamic Flight Simulator (DFS) simulator facility. The simulator will shall support the verification of technical systems which will then be validated in the high-g DFS test environment. The hardware, software, and its electrical and functional integration must be identical to that in the DFS to support anticipated Navy projects. This shall be a one-time procurement, no further actions are anticipated for future procurements.
