474-3385 The contract will provide a one time repair service to Renew
Hydraulic Pump Systems at Dry Dock #2 by replacing the four existing
hydraulic systems with newer hydraulic systems. Each hydraulic system
controls a 54'' check valve located in each of the dry dock's four main
dewatering pump systems. This will be a combination firm fixed- price
and indefinite quantity type contract. In addition to renewing the
existing hydraulic systems, the firm fixed-price work also includes
sampling each system's hydraulic fluid for PCB/hazardous waste (40 CFR
261) characteristics, disposing the hydraulic oil off Government
property, assembling the majority of the systems at the Contractor's
facility, inspecting the existing hydraulic system's electrical
components, performing operational tests and preventive maintenance
services for a period of 12 months. Indefinite Quantity work will cover
unforeseen repairs. Government personnel currently maintain these
systems. The existing hydraulic rams and electrical components will
remain in place and be reused. SIC 7699 applies. Bid opening is
