COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 22,1995 PSA#1308ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT The
Procurememt Technical Assistance (PTA) Center of SEDA-Council of
Governments (SEDA-COG) is sponsoring a comprehensive seminar designed
to help companies learn more about existing and future environmental
projects, understand the techniques necessary to pursue government
contracts, and offer practical training on the key methods of
documenting your firm's capabilities. The following topics will be
addressed by qualified representatives from government and industry:
(1) DOD Environmental Thrust for Small Business; (2) Environmental
Contracting Opportunities with the Naval Facilities Engineering
Command; (3) Identifying Opportunities with the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers; (4) Understanding the Administrative Requirements of
Environmental Projects; (5) Standard Forms 254 & 255 Preparation; (6)
Subcontracting - Working with the Primes. Speakers include
representatives from the Office of the Seretary of Defense (Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization); Naval Facilities
Engineering; R.E. Wright Environmental, Inc; and Science Applications
Internal Corporation (SAIC). The conference will be held on April 4,
1995, at the Ramada Hotel - Harrisburg, located in New Cumberland,
Pennsylvania. Co-sponsors include Johnstown Area Regional Industries;
Economic Development Council of Northeastern PA and Consulting
Engineers Council of Pennsylvania. Cost is $35.00 per person. For more
