Solicitation Notice - Design, manufacture, site preparation, installation, lease and maintenance of a pre-manufactured, modular structure arranged as required to form a Child Development Center at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA. The exterior work will include site improvements, foundations, connections to utilities, paving, sidewalks, landscaping, playground equipment and fencing. The structure shall be a complete, integral one-story unit and include all partitions, finishes, heating, cooling, electrical, fire alarm, intercom and telephone systems. The facility must accomodate 272 children consisting of 36 infants, 36 pre-toddlers, 100 toddlers, 100 pre-school and 55 staff members designed in accordance with all parameters for a Child Care Facility located on a Naval Installation as designated in OPNAV Instruction 1700.9D entitled Child Development Systems. Only conceptual drawings will be provided with the solicitation. Initial award will include a one year lease and four one year lease options with an option to purchase or have contractor remove facility and restore site. Except for janitorial and grounds maintenance, the lease will include maintenance of the facility. Formal source selection procedures will be followed. A technical proposal including standard size conceptual drawings of Offeror's design will be required.
