Y -- BUILDING K-31 REROOFING PROJECT Sol 70018. Due 041095. Only pre-qualified bidders may participate. There is an anticipated requirement for reroofing a 750,000 sq. ft. (17 acre) facility at the DOE Oak Ridge, TN, K-25 site. This represents approximately 10% of total anticipated roofing work required over the next ten-fifteen years at the K-25 site. This remedial roofing project will require tear off and replacement of 50% of the twelve sections of the complex using built-up/modified bitumen roofing systems. The remaining roof segments will require localized tear outs with replacement of wetted materials and over-roofing with a one-ply mechanically attached polymeric system. This project will include removal of ACRM and isolated, potentially radiologically low-level fixed contaminated flashings and expansion joint material. Radiation worker training (if required) and landfill space will be provided to the awarded subcontractor. The labor is considered applicable to the federal Davis-Bacon Act, and in addition the local project agreement and its prevailing wage and benefit rates apply. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1761, Roofing and Sheet Metal Work. The performance period is approximately 540 calendar days after Notice-to-Proceed. The magnitude of cost is $5 - 10 Million. Potential bidders must comply with and submit the following pre-qualification information in order to be considered eligible to receive a solicitation package. (1) A synopsis of your firm's five (5) largest reroofing projects, including each clients project manager, point of contact and telephone numers(s), (2) Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) with one-ply polymeric membrane and built up/modified bitumen roof systems, and ACRM abatement experience, (3) A copy of your firm's current safety and health program in relation to reroofing and ACRM remediation work, (4) A compsite summary of your firm's (and potential subcontractors) OSHA 200 Logs calculated average annual lost-time and recordable injury rate over the last five (5) years, along with copies of the OSHA 200 Logs, (5) Original letter(s) from your surety, as listed in the U.S. Department of Tresury Circular 570, confirming bid, performance and payment bonding capability. MK-Ferguson maintains the right to determine pre-qualified bidders based upon the above criteria. Interested and qualified prospective bidders are requested to submit the above pre-qualification criteria to the subcontract administrator, Mr. R. F. Baird, MK-Ferguson of Oak Ridge Company, P.O. Box 2011, Oak Ridge, TN 37831-2011, by April 10, 1995. Cost for subsequent solicitation packages, after qualification notice, will be $200.00 each, non-refundable except in the event the project is cancelled prior to issuance of solicitations.
