285-7191. The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for the
construction of approximately 2,800 sf building addition, and
renovation of 5,000 sf of space including the workroom, retail lobby,
office space and lookout gallery in the Albany Processing &
Distribution Facility at 30 Old Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12288-9998. Work
includes, but is not limited to, sitework, utilities, structural,
finishes, mechanical, electrical, roofing, plumbing systems, and
related miscellaneous work. The estimated cost of the work is between
$400,000.00 and $800,000.00, with completion within 180 calendar days
after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be received in
this office prior to, but no later than, 4:00 p.m. on April 17, 1995.
Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the
identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative
standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of
contract is made. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be
available o/a March 22, 1995 at a cost of $50.00 per set
(non-refundable) from the Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal
Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Certified checks
or money orders only, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S.
Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-95-A-0042). Plans may
be inspected at the issuing office and information regarding their
availability may be obtained by contacting Cathy Cosgrove at (203)

preproposal conference for this project at the site on Thursday, April
6, 1995 @ 10:00 a.m. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend.
