COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 23,1995 PSA#1309Department of the Air Force, Aeronautical Systems Center, Air-to-
Surface Weapons Systems Program Office, (ASC/YGK), 102 West D Avenue
Suite 168, Eglin AFB FL 32542-6807 14 -- AGM-130 RANGE EXTENSION KIT POC Anthony Williams, Contracting
Officer, (904) 882-7979, ext 253. For technical information contact Ken
Koval, (904) 882-7979, ext 272. This is a request for information. The
AGM-130/GBU-15 Program Office is exploring methods to increase the
range of the AGM-130 to improve the weapon's stand-off capability. The
desired approach to achieve this improved performance is to develop a
kit which will provide additional aerodynamic lift thereby extending
missile range. The missile, when configured with the kit, will be
carried and released from F-15E, F-111F, and B-52 aircraft. The kit
should be modular and easily installed without special tools. Firms
interested in this program must demonstrate knowledge and experience in
the fields of weapons, aerodynamics, airfoil design and development,
folding and deploying lifting surfaces, guidance and control, and
aircraft integration. Firms must also demonstrate the ability to
fabricate test assets, perform integration, support flight test
activities, and manufature the kit. Potential contractors having these
capabilities and experience are invited to submit a description of
general and specific work currently and previously performed in the
areas listed, describe facilities available, and provide any other
pertinent descriptive literature and qualifications. Submit information
within 20 days of this notice. This synopsis is for information and
planning purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation for bids or
proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
government. A sources sought synopsis may be issued at a later date
based upon the government's defined requirement. (0080) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0172 19950322\14-0003.SOL)
