COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 23,1995 PSA#1309Procurement Division 8, Code 280000D, Bldg. 02336, Naval Air Warfare
Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA 93555-6001 66 -- CCD AND ULTRAVIOLET DETECTOR ARRAY AND ANALYZER SOL
N68936-95-R-0192 DUE 051095 POC Glenda Downing, Contract Specialist,
(619) 939-7503 Contracting Officer, Richard Reyes, (619) 939-2230. The
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division plans to procure on a
competitive basis the following:(1) CCD detector array and analyzer 2
each: (2) Ultraviolet detector array and analyzer one each: and (3)
Training for up to three persons in the operation of the equipment and
associated software 1 lot. Brief Specifications for the CCD detector:
The detector/array and analyzer will be used for imaging multichannel
spectroscopy. The array will be configured to mount to an ORIEL
MultiSpec 257 monocromator, have at least 256 by 1024 elements covering
at least a 6.8 by 27 millimeter area, operate in the 300 to 1,000
nanometer spectral band and be thermoelectrically cooled. The
associated electronics shall operate the CCD array and thermoeleectic
cooler, digitize the array signals at a rate of at least 40,000 pixels
per second and interface with a PC or Macintosh computer. The computer
software shall control the sensor temperature and operation, data
acquisition, data reduction, calibration, and data display. It shall be
capable of binning pixels together into groups during array readout and
digitization, and skipping pixels. Brief Specifications for 2)
Ultraviolet detector: This gated, intensified, ultraviolet detector
array/analyzer will be used for imaging multichannel spectroscopy in
the 200 to 300 nanometer spectral band. The intensified array will be
configured to mount to an ORIEL MultiSpec 257 monocromator. A fiber
optic bundle shall couple an area of at least 4.5 by 17 millimeters on
the 18 millimeter diameter CsTe potocathode intensifier to the CCD
array. The CCD array shall have at least 128 by 512 elements and be
thermoelectrically cooled. The associated electronics shall operate the
gated intensifier, CCD array and thermoelectric cooler, digitize the
array signals at a rate of at least 40,000 pixels per second and
interface with a PC or Macintosh computer. The computer software shall
control the intensifier gain and gate time, sensor temperature and
operation, data acquisition, data reduction, calibration, and data
display. It shall be capable of binning pixels together into groups
during array readout and digitization, and skipping pixels. Delivery
shall be F.O.B. Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons
Division, China Lake, CA 93555 within 30 days after award. Requests for
solicitation should be submitted in writing to the above referenced
address. All responsible offers will be considered by the agency.
