The Naval Surface Warfare Center will be requesting proposals for a Custom Configured AlphaStation 200 4/233, five (5) each, to be designed and developed for commercial transportability, and ease of use by the end user. Each workstation will consist of the following: HARDWARE: PB-431-AA AlphaStation 200 4/233 including: 233 MHZ V45 CPU; 32 MB memory; 1.05 GB hard disk drive; 1.44 MB Floppy disk drive; ZLXp-E1 8 plane graphics; headphone, microphone, keyboard, and three button mouse; PCI ethernet; OpenVMS base license; OpenVMS AXP 1-user License; DEC Open 3D license; NAS 150 license; VRT17-PA 17 inch color monitor; MSP01-AC Simm memory, 32 MB, PBXRD-AA RRD42 SCSI CD-ROM drive; KZPAA-AA (2) each PCI to SCSI adapter; 2T-RAKPC-MS Rackmount kit for AlphaStation; 2T-BA350-SF Front mounting BA350 (for RZ28); RZ28-VA 2.1GB, 3.5 inch hard disk drive; BC09D-06 SCSI cable; TSZ07-AA 1600/6250 bpi reel tape drive; TSZK7-AA Country kit for TSZ07; 2T-SHELF-PC Slide shelf for printer; LA424-CA Dot matrix printer, 400 cps; 2T-450KM-AA KEYBOARD/MOUSE extender; 2T-450VR-AA Video Extender; BN21H-03 3 METER SCSI CABLE; BN21H-02 2 METER SCSI CABLE, and power strips, (2) each. SOFTWARE: QL-MV1AE-AA DecFortran for OpenVMS AXP Product; and FM-A2VMS-12 SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES FOR ALPHA STATION 200 SYSTEM RUNNING OPEN VMS SOFTWARE SUPPORT. The Government intends to sole source this requirement to the Digital Equipment Corporation. The required hardware and software shall be compatible with the DEC operating environment and the engineering of the configuration shall be performed by the DEC Professional Services Center. The DEC Professional Services Center will design and develop the workstation's custom configuration incorporating Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) transit cases with integrated COTS ADP equipment. The contract shall be for a period of two (2) years from award. The contract will include options for four additional units that will be evaluated at time of award. Responsible sources may submit an offer on the equipment using the DEC Professional Services Center only for design and development of the workstation.
